So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

No. And even if it did, would you really expect it to apply to used cars??  Huh

Could you at least tell us what happened on the deal. You might have some legal recourse. The folks here will advise you if they can.  Smiley

Lemon Law is for new cars only, you can't really be protected on a used car.  If you bought the car from a dealership you may have a 30 day powertrain warranty of some sort.... what's the issue?

That's right, Caveat Emptor.  The only protection you can get is if the parties agreed to some sort of warranty in the contract.

This has been mentioned on other threads.

CAMVAP, the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Program is available to resolve disputes between the dealership / manufacture and the consumer.  It's a free program. It's fair and it works.

Actually in the U.S. lemon laws still apply to used cars that are still under the manufacturer's warranty.

Just to be clear...

There are no lemon laws in Canada.  Only in the U.S.
