Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

You bet they're cool!

A neighbour has a new Saab 9-3 SportCombi. I'm not crazy about the drivetrain layout, but that thing is flat gorgeous.

I think my real-world dream car would be a BMW 335i Touring: RWD, not too big, awesome engine, plenty of room to haul stuff...

Voted 'cool'. Many look fantastic, like the upcoming jetta. I remember the old 90-ish Toyota Corona diesel wagon (right wheel). It was very basic but the roominess beat most modern compact SUVs. Mileage was exceptional as well. I say bring more here and let ppl decide.

Most of my friends wouldn't want to be caught dead in one.  Although hearses are wagons too, n'est-ce pas?

I wanted a Jetta MKIV wagon but couldn't afford it.

I think most wagons look ugly. A few, such as the Protege 5 look tolerable.

Hatch or a Wagon.  In most cases those descriptions are interchangeable.  Function often trumps form IMO.

Tell that to Mazda, who market a Mazda6 sedan, hatch, and wagon.  Huh  I like some wagons - the old Impreza wagon, for one.  But I find many simply ugly...  I do like hatches, though, as if that makes any sense.

However, I do appreciate the wagon's function, and would not be opposed to buying a wagon over a sedan as long as it wasn't too horrible looking.  Smiley

I think most of you would reconsider your vote if they looked like this:

A station wagon is a station wagon.  I don't care if you call them SUV, SAV, SUW or COV or POS.  They're still station wagons.  You either like 'em or you don't.  If calling it some fluffy name makes you happy, then great.  I own a Honda Fit.  It's a little station wagon and I'm OK with that.

When does a hatch become a wagon?

I seem to recall a thread about that question...  something to do with where the rearmost pillar is, or where the back windows are, or something, was the consensus, iirc.
