Acura TSX goes on sale for $34,800

Toronto, Ontario - The new 2004 Acura TSX luxury sports sedan went on sale yesterday with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $34,800 equipped with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed sequential SportShift automatic transmission.

The TSX is positioned between the Acura EL sedan and Acura TL luxury performance sedan in the Acura lineup. The four-door TSX is based on the European Honda Accord, and has a 200 horsepower i-VTEC engine, drive-by-wire throttle control system, four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension, standard 17-inch alloy wheels with V-rated all-season tires, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system and 4-wheel disc brakes.

The interior of the TSX combines a full leather-trimmed interior and heated front seats with dual-zone automatic climate control and a 360-watt, 8-speaker Acura premium sound system. The 2004 TSX is the first Acura with standard side curtain airbags.
