2005 Mercury Mariner based on Escape

New York, New York - The new 2005 Mercury Mariner sport utility vehicle, a restyled luxury version of the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute, will debut in the Fall of 2004, but probably won't be available in Canada.

The company said the Mariner is for customers who are looking for a compact urban SUV, but don't need the cargo and passenger space of a larger, seven-passenger vehicle.
