Toyota expects the Echo Hatchback to find an enthusiastic audience in young and young-at-heart Canadians shopping in the highly competitive sub-compact car segment. Toyota has priced the new sub-compact at just $12,995 for a 3-door Echo Hatchback CE with 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-door Echo Hatchback LE with an automatic transmission carries a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $15,600, and the MSRP for an Echo Hatchback RS with five doors is $17,300.

Car shoppers can visit the "Price Your Toyota" section on the Toyota Canada website where they can configure an Echo Hatchback inside and out, immediately view the final result and determine its price. Knowing exactly what it will cost, purchasers can also order their vehicle with an on-line deposit or place an order with their Toyota dealer.

The Echo Hatchback will offer several popular options and a range of custom equipment. Options include air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and one of four audio systems. Customization accessories include a spoiler, side skirts, fog lamps, centre line dual exhaust, and four different choices of alloy wheels. Inside, Echo Hatchback can be equipped with custom seat covers, sport pedals, shift knob, and 10-inch subwoofer.
