GM Canada announces pricing for Chevrolet Equinox

Oshawa, Ontario - GM Canada announced pricing for the all-new 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) will start at $26,560 for the base FWD and $29,170 for the base AWD. The Equinox will be available in Spring, 2004 in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models.

"Equinox sets new standards for compact SUV functionality," said Mike Speranzini, GM of Canada's Marketing Manager for Crossover Utilities and Compact Vans. "Its crossover-based architecture responds to customers who need more refinement, enhanced ride and handling, and increased comfort."

The five-passenger Equinox will be powered by a 3.4 litre V6 engine, mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. It will offer an innovative rear Multi-Flex seating system, and multilevel cargo panel system.

The Equinox will be built at the CAMI Automotive in Ingersoll, Ontario.
