2004 New York auto show
Lexus introduced its third new concept design within a year when it unveiled the LF-C luxury sports coupe concept car at the New York International Auto Show.
The 2006 Lincoln Zephyr concept unveiled at the 2004 New York International Auto Show is a midsize, five-passenger premium sedan that "sends a strong signal for the production version of Lincoln's next sedan," according to the company.
Suzuki unveiled the Forenza Wagon at the New York auto show. The Korean-built Forenza is known as the Chevrolet Optra (Optra sedan, Optra5 hatchback) in Canada, but there are no plans for an Optra station wagon in Canada.
Acura unveiled a concept RL sedan at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday. The concept vehicle features a new all-wheel-drive system, and provides a preview of the direction in which Acura will take the production version of the 2005 RL which will be introduced this fall.
On sale this September, the 2005 Jaguar XJ adopts a new long wheelbase format for the North American market. The model range will expand from three to five distinct models with two standard wheelbase models continuing from the 2004 range, launched in 2003.

GM unveiled the Buick Velite today, an upscale rear-drive mid-size automobile. Named for an elite class of quick-moving soldiers in Napoleon's army, the Velite was designed at GM's Advanced Studio in Warren, Michigan and assembled at coachbuilder Stile Bertone's studio in Italy.
