2005 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show
Pontiac unveiled the new 2006 Torrent today, a compact SUV based on the same platform as the Chevrolet Equinox and Saturn Vue.
An all-new 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 will make its debut today at the 2005 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show. Described as a "Dodge Magnum on steroids," by DaimlerChrysler, its 425-h.p., 6.1-litre HEMI engine will propel the car from 0-100 km/h in the "low five-second range."
With an 8.3-liter 500-horsepower V-10 engine, the Viper SRT10 Coupe accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds, and is capable of 0-100-0 mph runs in the low 12-second range.
Pontiac unveiled its new G6 Coupe and G6 hardtop convertible models today. Compared with the four-door, five-passenger G6 sedan, the G6 coupe and convertible models are two-door, four-passenger vehicles with all-new body panels rearward of the A-pillars and large, wraparound tail lamps on both models.

Chevrolet will unveil a compact, retro-styled tall wagon on Wednesday January 5th at the 2005 L.A. auto show. The 2006 Chevrolet HHR will go on sale in the second half of 2005.

Volkswagen released the first official photos of its new Jetta, which goes on sale in March, 2005 in Canada and the U.S. It is set to make its worldwide public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on January 5, 2005.
