Nissan Canada announces base price of 2007 Sentra

Mississauga, Ontario - Nissan Canada has announced that the all-new 2007 Sentra, which made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is scheduled to go on sale in Fall 2006 with pricing expected to begin around $16,000. Standard equipment will include a CD stereo, variable intermittent wipers, tire pressure monitoring system and side-impact curtain airbags.

The new sixth-generation Sentra is much larger than the previous generation and is built on Nissan's new “C” platform. The interior features a 60/40 split folding rear seat, a special trunk divider panel which creates a hidden trunk storage compartment, and integrated overhead compact disc holder.

The car is powered by an all-new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission or optional Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Optional equipment will include leather-appointed seating, Intelligent Key keyless entry system, Bluetooth hands-free phone system and premium Rockford-Fosgate six-CD audio system with eight-channel amplifier and eight speakers. The new Sentra will be manufactured by Nissan Mexicana in Aguascalientes, Mexico, where the current-generation Sentra is produced.
