Chicago, Illinois - The all-new Toyota Tundra full-size pickup made its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday. The completely-redesigned Tundra is bigger and more powerful than its predecessor, and offers new body and engine configurations.

"From bumper to bumper, under the hood and from the inside out, the new Tundra is a true North American truck that will set a new benchmark in the full-size truck segment," says Tony Wearing, Managing Director of Toyota Canada Inc. "It will be aimed at the true opinion leaders among full-sized truck owners, who are highly credible because they demand the most out of the pickups they buy."

Among the new Tundra's features are a towing capacity of over 4,500 kg (10,000 lbs); two engine options, including an all-new 5.7-litre V8 mated to an all-new six-speed automatic transmission; an overall length 254 mm (10 in.) longer than the 2006 model, with longer wheelbase, increased height and width; three cab configurations, including the Double Cab show truck; Base, SR5 and Limited trim lines; and options that will include a wide-screen backup camera, Bluetooth telephone compatibility and JBL Premium audio system.

The Tundra, which is designed, engineered and manufactured in North America, will arrive in dealer showrooms in early 2007.
