Coming to Canada as a 2007 model, the Audi RS4 derives many of its technical achievements from motorsports, including FSI (fuel straight injection) and the latest generation of Quattro all-wheel-drive, with asymmetric and dynamic torque distribution. The RS4's high-speed 4.2-litre V8 engine, also the result of lessons learned on the racetrack, develops a maximum of 420 hp and revs to 8250 rpm, with 90 per cent of its 317 lb-ft of torque available between 2250 and 7600 rpm. With a lower stance than a standard A4, 18-inch wheels and a zero-to-100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds, expect this model to find favour with enthusiasts who already love Audi's rock-solid Teutonic driving and handling characteristics, with even more power available whenever it's desired.
