Acura's RD-X Concept makes its Canadian debut at the Toronto event. This vehicle hints at the all-new Acura RDX production vehicle, scheduled to go on sale this summer; the production model will be built on an all-new global light truck platform and will feature a turbocharged 240 hp engine, Acura's new Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), which distributes torque not only between the front and rear wheels, but also between the left and right rear wheels, and offer satellite navigation, premium DVD-Audio sound system and wireless telephone interface.

The RD-X concept features SH-AWD, Brembo brakes with slotted rotors, 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, wraparound LED headlights and taillights, and Acura's signature five-sided grille.

Inside, the RD-X features ivory leather and suede seats, crocodile-embossed leather, and a clear acrylic wing that runs across the top of the instrument panel; an eight-inch colour LCD screen displays navigation, audio and in-car functions, and an internal hard drive stores an entire digital music library.
