Volkswagen unveils new 2007 Golf and Passat Wagon in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario – Volkswagen Canada has premiered two brand new 2007 models, the Passat Wagon and the fifth generation of the Golf, at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

The Golf, which will be available in showrooms this Summer, shares the same styling as the GTI and is powered by a new 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine that produces 150 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic. Two- and four-door models will be available.

The Passat Wagon will be available in March and features enhanced styling, a base 2.0T four-cylinder engine or 3.6-litre V6. The V6 model will also be available with 4 Motion all-wheel drive.
