Los Angeles, California - Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) has debuted its all-new 2008 Lancer Evolution in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Building on the success of the all-new Lancer launched in spring 2007, and the all-new Outlander crossover SUV, Mitsubishi has introduced the high-performance Evolution, which was recently awarded Popular Mechanic's 2008 Automotive Excellence Award in the Fun to Drive category.
The Lancer Evolution will also be available for the first time in Canada starting with the 2008 model-year version. It goes on sale in the U.S. in early winter of 2007.
The Lancer uses an all-new 2.0-litre turbocharged and intercooled engine, with an estimated 291 horsepower, and the Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) dynamic handling system.
Also making their North American debuts at the show were the Outlander 2.4 SE and the Concept-cX.
