New Canadian "supercar" to be launched at Montreal show

Montreal, Quebec - A car its creator has dubbed the "Quebec Bomb" will make its debut at the 39th edition of the Montreal International Auto Show, which takes place January 19 to 28, 2007. It will be the official launch of the prototype of the 2007 Pléthore, a new vehicle from HTT Locus Technologies.

The brainchild of Quebec designer Luc Chartrand, the Pléthore is composed entirely of carbon fibre, weighs 1,100 kg, and carries a standard 750-hp engine or optional 1,300-hp engine. The creator claims the car is capable of exceeding 330 km/hr. The car is expected to retail for about $330,000.
