Native Quebeckers Anne Belec, Volvo's CEO for N.A., and Chief Designer Simon Lamarre to attend C30 and S80 unveilings at Montreal auto show

Montreal, Quebec - Two native Quebeckers who are high ranking executives for Volvo will share the spotlight with the two newest Volvo cars at the Volvo display at the Montreal International Auto Show's press day on Thursday, January 18, 2007.

Anne Belec is President and Chief Executive Officer of Volvo Cars of North America, responsible for marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support for Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversight of Volvo operations in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. A native of Rouyn-Noranda, Anne is one of the most influential women in the auto industry.

Simon Lamarre is Studio Chief Designer for Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden. Born in Ste Therese, Simon joined Volvo in 1995 and has made his mark with such important vehicles as the Volvo XC90 and the new Volvo C30. Simon is one of the new generation of designers helping reshape the image of Volvo cars.

Anne and Simon will be part of the Canadian debut of the two newest Volvo cars - the S80 luxury sedan and the stylish C30 coupe - at the show.
