Lexus LS460 named 2007 World Car of the Year

New York, New York - The Lexus LS460 has been named 2007 World Car of the Year, following an announcement at the New York International Auto Show. The LS460 was chosen from an initial list of 28 contenders worldwide, and from a final list of three that included the Audi TT and Mini.

The World Car of the Year is decided by a panel of automotive journalists representing 22 countries; this is the third year the awards have been given.

In other World Car of the Year categories, the Audi RS4 was named World Performance Car; the Mercedes-Benz E320 BLUETEC was named World Green Car; and the Audi TT was named World Design of the Year.
