Dodge has unveiled its all-new 2008 Challenger SRT8 at the Chicago Auto Show, 35 years after the name was last used by the company on a muscle coupe. The new model will be built exclusively in Brampton, Ontario and go on sale in the spring of 2008.

2008 Dodge Challenger2008 Dodge Challenger
The all-new production 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 makes its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show, following the introduction of the concept version at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The first versions of the new coupe will be limited-edition SRT8 models, each with a numbered dash plaque, carrying a 6.1-litre Hemi V8 engine.

2009 Hummer H3THummer introduces 2009 H3T pickup truck
Hummer has announced it will introduce its new 2009 H3T at the Chicago Auto Show. Based on the H3, it features a five-passenger crew cab and separate five-foot (1.5 metres) bed, and is sized between a midsize and full-size truck.

Porsche has announced it will unveil its new Cayenne GTS to the public at the Chicago Auto Show in February. The company says it has formulated, tested and tweaked the GTS to offer the best on-road characteristics of any Cayenne that Porsche has ever produced.

2008 Yes! Roadster2008 Yes! Roadster
Making its first appearance at a Chicago Auto Show is the Yes! Roadster. Hand-built in Germany by Funke & Will AG, the Yes! is a rear-wheel drive model with high-strength aluminum space frame that weighs only about 2,000 lbs (907 kg).

Porsche will unveil its Cayenne GTS to American buyers at the Chicago show; the company says it has been "formulated, tested and tweaked" to offer the best on-road characteristics of any Cayenne that Porsche has ever produced.

2008 BMW M3 sedanBMW M3 Sedan
The all-new 2008 BMW M3 Sedan is one of three all-new M3 vehicles, alongside the Coupe and Cabriolet. It will be arriving in showrooms in the spring of 2008. The M3 uses a 4.0-litre V8, the first eight-cylinder in a series-production M3 and the highest-performing M3 ever offered by the company's M division. The new light-alloy engine produces 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.

The Chicago Auto Show: 2008 marks the 100th edition
Over the years, the Chicago Auto Show has showcased Chevrolets and Chandlers, Fords and Franklins, Toyotas and Terraplanes. In 1913, it may even have hosted the premiere of an electric car named after the Windy City - a precursor to the electric concept vehicles you'll see there today.

Volvo C302008 Volvo C30
Still a fairly new model to the U.S. market, the 2008 Volvo C30 offers the brand's first-ever Custom Build ordering process. The process allows buyers up to 17 different exterior colour choices and 12 interior combinations. For the U.S. market, the C30 is sold exclusively with its 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder.

Developed by Nissan Design America Inc, the Nissan Forum "represents the next revolution in family transportation," the company says. The Forum made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this year.

First seen at the Detroit Auto Show, the Mitsubishi Concept-RA continues the company's long tradition of sporty coupe concepts. The new vehicle combines cutting-edge drivetrain technologies with the latest clean diesel engine design.

Jeep RenegadeJeep Renegade
One of a trio of environmentally-friendly concept vehicles first shown by Chrysler at the Detroit Auto Show, the Jeep Renegade is a sporty two-seater that uses an electric motor to power each axle.

Hummer HXHummer HX
Created with ideas generated by a trio of fresh young designers, the Hummer HX could one day form the basis of a compact, entry-level off-road vehicle in the brand's line-up. It was first shown at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

Chrysler ecoVoyagerDodge ZEO
One of three environmentally-friendly concepts from Chrysler, the Dodge ZEO is named for its Zero Emissions Operation. The four-passenger 2+2 "sport wagon" is a high-tech, entirely electric vehicle.

Chevrolet is showcasing its three global minicar concepts, designed to appeal to young car buyers in urban markets: the Chevrolet Beat, Groove and Trax. In an unusual marketing move, GM asked the public to vote for their favourite of the three online.

Having made its world premiere at Auto Shanghai 2007 - it carries a Chinese-character badge - the Buick Riviera is a stunning gull-wing concept coupe. The Riviera was developed with global design input by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center in China.

First introduced in 1966, the Toyota Corolla has sold almost 33 million copies globally, making it the world's most popular car. The 2009 Corolla has been redesigned into the model's tenth generation, and reintroduces its popular, sporty XRS model.

2009 Pontiac Vibe2009 Pontiac Vibe
Introduced to Canada at the Montreal Auto Show, the redesigned 2009 Pontiac Vibe makes an appearance at the Chicago Auto Show. A sister car to the Toyota Matrix, which is produced in Cambridge, Ontario, the Pontiac Vibe is built at a joint venture of GM and Toyota in California. It goes on sale in early 2008.

2009 Nissan Murano2009 Nissan Murano
Now in its second generation, the 2009 Nissan Murano is a "super evolution" of the original design, which set new standards for style and sportiness in the crossover sport utility segment. New exterior features include a wide front end with new fascia design, wide grille with integrated headlights, new body side character lines, new rear styling with expansive rear glass area and LED taillights.

2009 Nissan GT-R2009 Nissan GT-R
After years of sportscar fans bemoaning the lack of a GT-R on North American shores, Nissan brings the fifth-generation version over the water. The new GT-R made its worldwide debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007, and its North American debut at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. It goes on sale in June 2008.

2009 Mazda RX-82009 Mazda RX-8
Mazda is introducing a refreshed version of its RX-8 rotary-engined sportscar at the Chicago show, with updated exterior and interior styling, enhanced performance and a new R3 sport package. First launched in 2003, the RX-8 has sold nearly 167,000 copies globally and has picked up more than 50 awards worldwide.

2009 Lincoln MKS2009 Lincoln MKS
First shown at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in 2007, the 2009 MKS will represent the flagship of Lincoln's sedans. The company's full-size sedan will retail in the U.S. this summer with a starting price below US$38,000. The MKS' price and its numerous features are intended to bring a new, younger audience into the company's top-end offering in the segment.

2009 Jaguar XF2009 Jaguar XF
Replacing the S-Type in Jaguar's line-up, the stunning new midsize Jaguar XF made its debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show last September. It goes on sale in the U.S. in March, with a starting price of US$49,975.

2009 Hummer H3T2009 Hummer H3T
New for 2009, the Hummer H3T features a five-passenger crew cab and separate five-foot (1.5 metres) box; the company says it is the only midsize truck to come standard with full-time four-wheel drive, 32-inch tires and functional skid shields, and the only one to offer front and rear locking differentials, and 33-inch tires.

Honda FCX ClarityHonda FCX Clarity
While many hydrogen vehicles are still only concepts, Honda plans to lease its FCX Clarity to a select number of retail consumers in Southern California this summer, with the aim of advancing the real-world performance and appeal of the hydrogen-powered fuel cell automobile.

Back in 1968, moviegoers thrilled to the ultimate chase scene, as Steve McQueen piloted a Mustang through the streets of San Francisco. For 2008, Ford combines its muscle car with the latest Ford Racing technology to produce the limited-edition Mustang Bullitt in honour of the film's 40th anniversary.

Having sold over 33 million F-Series pickups since the truck's debut in 1948, Ford now moves into 2008 with a makeover of its F-150. The 2009 F-150 rides on a new high-strength, lighter-weight chassis that allows the truck to deliver more horsepower, better fuel economy, improved safety, and additional towing and payload capacity.

2009 Dodge Ram2009 Dodge Ram
Famously introduced alongside a herd of longhorn cattle at the Detroit Auto Show, the all-new 2009 Dodge Ram is completely redesigned, and includes its first-ever Crew Cab, a new 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine, and twice as many storage areas as on the previous model.

Redesigned for 2009, the Chevrolet Aveo5 was first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Named for its hatchback configuration, the Aveo5 is expected to be the lowest-priced car in the U.S. when it goes on sale in mid-2008.

Expected to be the first production Corvette with a top speed of at least 322 km/h, the 2009 ZR1 uses an all-new, LS9 supercharged 6.2-litre V8 that the company says will produce 620 horsepower and approximately 595 lb-ft of torque.

2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid
First shown at the Miami Auto Show, the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid uses GM's new, patented 2-Mode Hybrid System, also used on the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Silverado and Sierra full-size pickup trucks.

2008 Cadillac CTS-V2008 Cadillac CTS-V
First in the new line of V-Series Cadillacs, the CTS-V builds on the company's award-winning sedan. It features a new 6.2-litre LSA supercharged engine, generating an estimated 550 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, an increase of nearly 35 horsepower over the previous-generation CTS-V.

GM to display gas-saving commercial vehicles at Chicago show
General Motors has announced it will showcase several gas-saving commercial vehicles at its booth at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, which runs February 6 to 17.

Winning couple to marry at Chicago Auto Show
Chrysler has announced the winners of its "Journey of a Lifetime" contest, who will receive an all-new 2009 Dodge Journey and all-expenses-paid wedding at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show.
