2008 Toyota Sequoia
Bigger and stronger, but still nimble and comfortable
Montreal, Quebec - Designed for North America and built in the U.S., the Toyota Sequoia full-size SUV follows the improvements and design cues of the next-generation Toyota Tundra pickup truck upon which it's based. Available in three trim lines, the Sequoia comes with a choice of 4.7-litre V8 with five-speed automatic transmission, or all-new 5.7-litre V8 with six-speed automatic.
New for 2008 are independent rear suspension, available Optitron electronic gauges, wider-opening rear doors, three-zone climate control, improved wipers and pedestrian protection structure for the engine hood and front fenders. All models include four-wheel drive, seating for seven or eight passengers, six airbags, three-point seatbelts in all positions, tire pressure monitoring system, and clearance and backup sensors.
At the top of the Sequoia line-up is the Platinum trim line, which includes a premium stereo, dynamic radar cruise control, navigation system, backup camera, rear-seat DVD entertainment system, perforated leather heating surfaces, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power liftgate, and heated second-row seats.
