Nashville, Tennessee - Infiniti has unveiled the all-new 2009 Infiniti FX performance luxury crossover at the New York International Auto Show, including the world debut of the new Infiniti FX35. The 2009 FX will be offered in three models when it goes on sale in Canada and the United States beginning in June 2008.
The second-generation FX35 is available with a revised 303-horsepower 3.5-litre V6, in both all-wheel and rear-wheel drive configurations. The all-new FX50 is offered with standard all-wheel drive, a new 390-horsepower 5.0-litre V8 engine and 21-inch wheels and tires. All models use a new, standard seven-speed automatic transmission. The FX50 was shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month.
Along with its revised exterior and interior styling, the new FX also features a number of advanced safety and convenience technologies, including Intelligent Brake Assist, Distance Control Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Around View Monitor and a real-time traffic navigation system.
