Audi 'Project Steppenwolf' - off-road sports car

'Project Steppenwolf', Audi's compact, two-door, four-seat all-wheel-drive concept, is designed to "feel equally at home in the outback as on the highway," says Audi.

The Steppenwolf has Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system and a 4-level air suspension with a height adjustment range of 60 mm (2.4 inches) which provides ground clearance of up to 223 mm (8.8 inches).

A 3.2 litre V6 engine, with 225 horsepower and 235 ft-lb. of torque, powers the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in under eight seconds. Top speed is 230 km/h.

In addition to quattro full-time four-wheel drive, the Project Steppenwolf has an Electronic Differential Lock to distribute torque between the wheels on one axle, and Electronic Stability Program to keep the car under control in conditions where the car may skid.

Like its ancestors, the Audi quattro and Sport quattro, the Project Steppenwolf is a sports car equally at home on asphalt and gravel roads, says Audi.
