Edmunds.com introduces history of vehicle redesigns and upgrades

Santa Monica, California - Edmunds.com, one of the U.S.A.'s leading automotive consumer web-sites, has introduced a new feature called 'Generations' that provides the complete history of upgrades and redesigns for best-selling used vehicles.

"The price of a used Honda Accord jumps dramatically from 1997 to 1998," explained Karl Brauer, Editor-In-Chief of Edmunds.com. "Readers of 'Generations' will know the Honda Accord was completely redesigned in 1998, gaining a dramatic increase in horsepower and interior volume, making the 1998 model a far more desirable, and therefore valuable, vehicle than its predecessors."

Currently, "Generations" traces the evolution of the Chevrolet Blazer, Chevrolet Suburban, Dodge Ram, Ford Explorer, Ford F-Series, Ford Taurus, GMC Jimmy, GMC Suburban, Honda Accord, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mazda Navajo, Mercury Mountaineer, Mercury Sable, Oldsmobile Bravada and Toyota Camry, from their first production year to the most recent version available in dealer showrooms. Edmunds.com plans to add more vehicles over time.
