Montreal, Quebec - LemonAid Guides reports that a provincial court held the failure of a '96 Windstar's engine head gasket was Ford's responsibility, despite the expiry of Ford's warranty and Ford's contention that the problem could have been caused by poor maintenance or abusive driving.

Judge Pierre Chevalier awarded a '96 Windstar owner $1,364.35, plus $72 court fees and interest on the total from last September. Judge Chevalier found the engine failure was premature at 118,892 km, after almost six years of service.

Phil Edmonston, publisher of Lemon Aid Guides had this to say: "I'm proud of having guided this plaintiff through the small claims court process and in drafting his well-crafted complaint letter." A copy of the complaint letter and court judgment, in French and English can be found at www.lemonaidcars.com.
