Scarborough woman wins Lexus ES300 in charity lottery

Toronto, Ontario - Yoshio Nakatani, Chairman of Toyota Canada Inc. and Bryan Rowntree, President of Scarborough Lexus Toyota presented the keys to a brand new 2002 Lexus ES 300 to Mrs. Arleen Sidique, of Scarborough, Ontario on Thursday. Sidique was this year's winner of the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation Lottery.

Toyota Canada and Scarborough Lexus Toyota have teamed up to donate a car as the grand prize for the annual lottery in each of the past five years. The lottery raised $124,000 toward the purchase of an MRI machine for the Centenary site of the Rouge Valley Health System, which provides state of the art health care to residents of East Toronto and West Durham. Rouge Valley Centenary opened its brand new MRI facility on May 1, supported by a major donation from Toyota Canada.

"Both Scarborough Lexus Toyota and Toyota Canada are proud to contribute to Rouge Valley Centenary's fundraising efforts," said Nakatani. "Toyota Canada's headquarters have been in Scarborough since 1965, and we're pleased to be able to contribute to the health care of this community. We'll be donating a vehicle again next year, so watch for details on tickets for a new chance to win."

Rouge Valley Centenary is located at 2867 Ellesmere Road, at Neilson Road, south of Highway 401. The Rouge Valley Health System is composed of two full service community hospitals - Rouge Valley Centenary, with 411 beds, and Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering, located in Ajax, with 156 beds. Together there are more than 300 general practitioners and 180 specialist physicians providing care for a full range of health problems, from paediatric to geriatric care. Both sites have 24-hour emergency departments.
