Prices for the popular Civic Sedan DX and DX with Group Option Package will start at $16,000 and $17,600 respectively, up just $100 - or approximately 0.6 percent - over the previous year despite a standard tachometer and other value-added enhancements.

The Civic Sedan is now available in four trims: DX, DX with Group Option Package, LX and a new LX 'Sport'. All Civic Sedans feature a new rear combination taillight and a standard tachometer.

For the 2003 model year, all Civics will receive improved seating with both a new fabric and design while the rear outboard seats are enhanced with adjustable headrests. A new sporty steering wheel, a new 'Wave' style key and an inner handle to release the trunk in case of an emergency are also standard. As well, Honda has enhanced the steering and suspension systems for 2003 to accentuate its sporty character.

The popular Civic Sedan LX will be priced at $19,400 (5MT) and receives Electronic Brake Distribution, a new centre console armrest with a storage compartment as standard equipment. Also new for 2003 is a redesigned transmission escutcheon design and a high-tech self-illuminating instrument gauge cluster.

The Civic Sedan can now be ordered in 'LX Sport' form. Equipped from the factory with a power moonroof, spoiler, alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob (5MT only), carbon fibre-look instrument panel and console as well as open-style front headrests, the LX Sport will also be differentiated from other Civics through an exclusive rear 'Sport' badge. The Civic Sedan LX Sport will have a Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price of $21,400 (5MT).

The Civic Coupe DX and LX receive the same interior changes as the Sedans. The Si trim, however, further builds upon the enhancements by adding standard Air Conditioning.

The Si Coupe with Group Option Package will receive the most significant upgrades, with a factory-installed rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob (5MT only) along with carbon fibre-look instrument panel and console.

The 2003 Honda Civic is powered by a 1.7-litre, 16-valve 4-cylinder engine producing 115-horsepower and 110 lb.-ft. of torque. Opt for the Civic Si Coupe model, and Honda's Variable Valve Timing and lift Electronic Control (VTEC) boosts output to 127-horsepower and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. While fun to drive, the Civic is also both fuel efficient and environmentally sound, as it meets California's stringent Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) standards.

Honda Canada also announced pricing on the 2003 Odyssey minivan. Available in the four trims - LX, EX, EX-L and EX-L with Rear Entertainment System - new changes include a new 'Wave' style key, automatic down and now up power driver's window and a new style rear window spray nozzle.

The Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-litre VTEC V6 engine delivering 240 horsepower through a 5-speed automatic transmission. With a spacious cabin, the Odyssey is fully equipped to handle either seven passengers or a 4-by-8 foot sheet of plywood in the cargo area without scraping the sidewalls.
