Benefiting from the General Motors takeover of Daewoo and its association with GM, Suzuki has added two new models to its lineup - the mid-size Verona sedan and the sub-compact Swift+. Both models will go on sale in early 2004. Canadian prices were not announced.

The front-wheel-drive Verona will have a standard six-cyliner engine, automatic climate control, aluminum alloy wheels and 6-disc in-dash CD changer. ABS will be standard. The Verona is similar to the Chevrolet Epica.

The sub-compact Swift+, which Chevrolet will sell as the Aveo, features a 105 horsepower, 1.6 litre engine. Available options will include power locks, mirrors and windows, air conditioning, AM/FM CD with six speakers and remote keyless entry.
