Lexus announces new SportDesign IS 300 and GS 300

Toronto, Ontario - Lexus announced that it will offer Canadians new SportDesign versions of the IS 300 and GS 300 performance sedans. The SportDesign packages combine unique appearance cues with performance-enhancing equipment.

"The SportDesign models shine a spotlight on the spirited power and handling of both IS and GS for a new breed of Lexus buyers," says Larry Hutchinson, National Manager of Lexus in Canada.

Only 50 of the 2003 GS 300 SportDesign models will be built for Canada. This limited edition features new black perforated leather seats, gunmetal-coloured aluminum wheels and an exclusive Graphite Grey Pearl exterior (Black Onyx is also available). A special SportDesign grille and rear lip spoiler distinguish the exterior. The interior is accentuated by brushed metallic console trim, a wood and leather steering wheel, and SportDesign logos on the scuff plates. In keeping with the sporty theme, a Euro-tuned sport suspension is part of the package. The 2003 GS 300 SportDesign will be available at Lexus dealers beginning in April and carries a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $63,300. A SportDesign version with DVD navigation system has an MSRP of $68,200.

The IS 300 SportDesign adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and limited slip differential for even more road-hugging confidence during spirited driving. The IS 300 SportDesign has an MSRP of $39,075 for the manual and $40,695 for the automatic.
