Toronto, Ontario - Goodyear Canada's Engineered Products Division today announced a partnership with Canadian NASCAR driver Ron Fellows, as a further step to significantly increase awareness of its automotive and truck aftermarket products. Goodyear's product line includes Gatorback belts, belt tensioners, hose and air springs.

Fellows, a Mississauga, Ontario, resident, is a world-renowned Canadian motorsports champion. In NASCAR, his record includes two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins, three NASCAR Busch Grand National wins and a second place NASCAR Winston Cup finish. Fellows has also achieved significant success in other race series including the American Le Mans Series with wins at 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours at Daytona, 2002 GTS Drivers Championship and, most recently, on March 15, 2003, winning the GTS Class in the 12 Hours of Sebring, for the second straight year.

In 2003, Fellows will drive a Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated (DEI) at two upcoming NASCAR Winston Cup Series road races, on June 22nd at Sears Point, California and August 10th at Watkins Glen, New York. His duties at DEI also include testing and road race coaching for the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup Season.

"Goodyear is the official licensed belt and hose of NASCAR. We are extremely pleased to make this important announcement to partner with Ron Fellows, a true Canadian champion, " said Guy Enta, national sales manager, Goodyear Canada's Engineered Products Division. "Our objective is to leverage years of NASCAR testing and development by promoting Goodyear's race-proven products to automotive and truck installers and technicians."

"I'm excited about the connection with Goodyear Canada's Belts and Hose Division," said Fellows. "Race engine builders are very particular about the parts, pieces and ancillary items that are used on race engines. From a driver and team's perspective, reliability and durability are things that we talk about a lot. While belts and hoses on a race engine might not receive any prominence, they can be a huge factor in the success - or the failure - during a race. The fact that Goodyear belts and hoses are widely used by NASCAR race teams says it all," Fellows said.
