Subaru introduces turbocharged Baja with 210 horsepower

Subaru introduced a turbocharged version of the Baja four-door pickup powered by a 210-horsepower 2.5-litre intercooled turbo boxer engine. The Baja Turbo is the third new turbocharged model that Subaru has introduced for 2004 model year: Forester 2.5 XT was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show, and the 300-horsepower Impreza WRX STi at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

2006 Ford Futura will offer optional hybrid gas-electric powertrain

Ford unveiled a new mid-size sedan which will go into production in 2005. The 2006 Ford Futura will offer four cylinder and six cylinder engines and will come with a manual, automatic and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) says the company. It will also be available with an optional hybrid gas-electric powertrain now being developed for the Escape Hybrid.

GM to debut Malibu MAXX, CTS V-Series at New York auto show

General Motors will debut several new models at the 2003 New York Auto Show this month. Vehicles shown publicly for the first time at the show will include the Cadillac CTS V-Series, the Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, the Buick Rendezvous Ultra and the Saturn VUE Red Line. The Saab 9-3 Convertible will also be shown for the first time in North America.
