Toyota Canada to select winner of its Earth Day Scholarship

Toronto, Ontario - Toyota Canada has selected fifteen Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Finalists from across the country, one of whom will be selected as the national grand prize winner of the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program.

On Earth Day, April 22, 2005, at a ceremony in the Conservatory of Allan Gardens in Toronto, the winning student will be introduced and presented with a notebook computer. Over the next few days, each regional finalist will be acknowledged at a local ceremony and presented with a $5,000 cheque and scholarship certificate.

The students, who are entering post-secondary studies, are being recognized for outstanding achievements in environmental community service, academics and extracurricular participation. The Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program is an entrance scholarship offered to students attending a Canadian university or college, or Quebec junior college, in any chosen field of study.
