Edmonton track renamed Castrol Raceway

Edmonton, Alberta - Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta has become the world's first racetrack with the Castrol name. Although the company has sponsored cars and drivers in the past, it has never before sponsored a track.

The facility, formerly known as Budweiser Motorsport Park, became Castrol Raceway last week. The five-year deal has been made with Wakefield Canada, Castrol's exclusive distributor in Canada. The facility houses a quarter-mile IHRA-sanctioned drag strip, three-eighths mile clay oval track, ten-acre motocross facility and 2.7 km road course, currently under construction.
