Chrysler Financial to sponsor 'Hip-Hop Summit' on financial empowerment in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario - After a successful tour in the US, the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network is heading to Canada for its first international Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment.

The financial summit will take place in Toronto at Ryerson University's Ryerson Theater on Saturday, October 28, 2006. There will be two Hip-Hop Summit sessions on Financial Empowerment incorporating the same program that day, one running from 12:30-2 p.m. and the other from 3-4:30 p.m. HSAN's partner and title sponsor is Chrysler Financial, which supplies the financial expertise at each Summit.

Participating in the Toronto Hip-Hop Summit will be HSAN co-Chairmen Russell Simmons and Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Lil X, Lil' Mo, Remy Ma, Trina, Killer Mike and Spinderella as the celebrity DJ. Participating from Chrysler Financial is Gino Cozza, Managing Director for Chrysler Financial Canada.

The Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment is a grassroots effort to help engage young people in discussions about the importance of personal finance. The topics to be covered include the basics of banking, home ownership, repairing bad credit and understanding credit scores, entrepreneurship, vehicle financing and more. The "Get Your Money Right" international tour concludes this year in Toronto.
