Authors publish "idiot's" guide to customizing

Brick Township, New Jersey - Authors Tom Benford and Andy Goodman have released "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Customizing Your Ride". The book demonstrates:

  • Which part of the vehicle to modify first
  • How to find the best shops and prices
  • What to have done and what to do yourself
  • Exterior body modifications (lighting, grills, lip kits, fenders, hoods, etc.)
  • Performance upgrades (air intake, exhaust systems, ignition components, etc.)
  • Suspension and brake modifications
  • Wheel and tire upgrades
  • Interior enhancements (knobs, pedals, gauges, seating, etc.)
  • Audio and video upgrades (DVDs, computers, gaming systems, etc.)

Tom Benford is the author of Corvette: 50 Years of Sports Car Speed (with Randy Leffingwell), The Corvette Enclyclopedia, The American Street Rod, and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Restoring Collector Cars. Andy Goodman is the president of the National Custom Car Association (NCCA).
