Mississauga, Ontario - Nissan Canada has marked the 15th anniversary of the Nissan Canada Foundation with a donation of 25 new vehicles to charitable partners serving senior citizens across Ontario.
“Fifteen years is a huge accomplishment; this is a great day for the Foundation,” said Mark Grimm, president of Nissan Canada Inc. “We’re very proud and very grateful for the opportunity to be a good neighbour in the senior communities across Canada. It is truly a pleasure to help celebrate these seniors for their contributions to Canada’s social and economic fabric.”
The charities include Meals on Wheels in Caledon and North York Central, Canadian Hearing Society, the Canadian Red Cross in Metro Toronto and Timmins, Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes, Community Care Durham, Home Support York in CHATS East and CHATS North, Mid Toronto Community Seniors, Nepean Seniors, Scarborough Support Services, Sprint, St. Clair West Services for Seniors, The Scott Mission, Villa Colombo, Warden Woods Community Centre, West Toronto Support Services and WoodGreen Community Centre.
In total, the Foundation has donated 51 new vehicles across Canada this year, made possible through the support and partnership of Nissan dealer partners across the country. The Nissan Canada Foundation was established in 1993 with the objective of helping Canadians in need, with a special focus on seniors.
