Ontario show expects 1,400 collector cars

Oshawa, Ontario - The 15th annual Autofest is set to run in Oshawa, Ontario on August 23 and 24 and is expected to draw some 1,400 custom cars, hot rods, antique trucks and classic vehicles to the city’s waterfront, along with a free Friday night street party.

Hosted by Motor City Car Club, the show will include a monster truck display with photo opportunities for the children, mobile zoo with snakes and reptiles, vendor alley, craft centre, and the chance for car owners to win one of several prizes, including an engine, transmission, rolling tool chest and set of tires, as well as trophies judged by show sponsors.

The August 22 street party takes place in the city’s downtown core. The streets will be closed to all but registered participants’ cars; the public is welcome to the free event, held in the afternoon and evening, which includes live music and food vendors

For information on the show or to register a vehicle, visit Autofest.
