Chrysler announces pricing for new 2009 Dodge Ram

Windsor, Ontario - Chrysler Canada has announced pricing for the all-new 2009 Dodge Ram, which will start at $25,995 for Regular Cab models, $30,295 for Quad Cab models and $34,190 for Ram Crew 1500 models. The company said that this represents an average price reduction of $2,200, along with $2,500 of added equipment; the new trucks will arrive in dealerships this fall.

“The all-new Dodge Ram  is simply the best truck at the best value in Canada,” said Mark Bosanac, Vice-President Marketing, Chrysler Canada. “With more standard features and a lower MSRP than 2008 models, the all-new 2009 Dodge Ram gives consumers thousands of dollars more in value.”

For 2009, the Ram will be offered in Regular, Quad and Crew Cab configurations, with three box lengths: 8-foot on Regular Cab, 6-foot-4 on Regular and Quad Cab, and a new-for-2009 5-foot-7 on Ram Crew 1500. All fit in a standard-sized garage. The four trim levels offered are the ST, SLT, Sport and Laramie.

Dodge Ram’s first-ever Crew Cab model has been priced at $1,495 over the Quad Cab and delivers the best level of equipment at the price in the segment. Other segment-first and best-in-class innovations include a RamBox cargo management system, dual exhaust and Store-in-Floor storage. Powertrain choices include a new-generation 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with multi-displacement system (MDS), 4.7-litre V8, and 3.7-litre V6, with four- and five-speed automatic transmissions, and part-time and on-demand four-wheel drive transfer cases with 3.21, 3.55, 3.92 and 4.10 axle ratios.

Other new standard or available features include an improved frame design, multi-link coil spring suspension, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, automatic-on headlamps and dual-zone automatic temperature control.

Pricing on the Dodge Ram, depending on configuration and trim level, will range from $25,995 to $45,490.
