2009 Pontiac G3 Wave pricing announced
Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada announced the redesigned 2009 Pontiac G3 Wave subcompact hatchback, which is already in dealerships, has a base MSRP of $13,270, but buyers with cash can purchase it for just $10,470.
“Fun to drive, stylish, safe, fuel efficient and roomy, the Pontiac Wave has seen sales grow almost 20% this year and the new G3 Wave takes that winning formula to new levels for 2009,” said Marc Comeau, vice president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. “With many enhancements including an all new, very efficient powertrain, tighter, quieter and more agile ride and handling, plus new styling inside and out, the G3 Wave is packed with features at a price offering value never seen before in the compact segment.”
The G3 Wave is powered by an all-new 1.6-litre DOHC four-cylinder engine designed and built in Germany by Opel. It features variable valve timing which contributes to a fuel economy improvement of up to 10%, better acceleration, increased refinement, and reduced emissions. Estimated highway fuel consumption is 5.7 L/100 km.
