Orlando, Florida - The American Automobile Association (AAA) is announcing its annual PetBook contest, which asks pet owners to send in photographs of their pets on vacation for a chance to be featured on the book’s cover. Last year’s winner was Libby, an Ontario-based dog photographed in Nova Scotia.

Traveling With Your Pet: The AAA PetBook includes advice on pet-friendly lodgings, travel advice and safety tips. The first-place winner receives a US$350 AAA Visa Gift Card and five copies of the book, with the photograph printed on the back cover; second place wins a US$200 card and two copies, with the photograph printed on the spine.

Entries are judged on artistic qualities, including photographic composition, and the ability to convey the joy of safely travelling with a pet. Candid compositions are preferred over posed, and studio photographs will be disqualified. Contest rules can be found at AAA.
