Mitsubishi Canada donates $480,000 to charity

Mississauga, Ontario - Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) has donated $480,000 to Right to Play as part of an ongoing commitment to provide direct financial aid or support to worthy, sports-oriented organizations and charities. Right To Play is an international humanitarian organization, based in Toronto, whose vision is to create a healthier and safer world through sport and play.

The contribution is the result of a financial commitment made earlier this year by MMSCAN that was tied directly to new vehicle retail sales. The $480,000 donation is based on $100 per new vehicle sold at retail by dealers across Canada during April, May and June of 2008.

“We are very pleased to be making this direct cash contribution to Right To Play,” said Koji Soga, president and CEO of MMSCAN. “In the last few months, our vehicle sales have been very strong, and it is our pleasure to give financial support at this time to such a well run and worthy charitable organization.”
