Ottawa, Ontario - Transport Canada has issued its latest recalls, which may affect some Subaru, Saturn, and Kia vehicles.

2009 Subaru Forester
2007-2009 Subaru Impreza sedan and wagon
2007-2009 Subaru Legacy sedan and wagon
Vehicles affected: 1,489
On certain 2.5-litre turbo-equipped vehicles, the oil supply pipe to the turbocharger may crack at the brazing on the cylinder head side. If the pipe cracks, it will allow oil to leak, which could cause a fire if it contacts components operating at high temperatures. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the cracked pipe with a modified unit; if no crack is found, an additional bracket will be installed to increase the rigidity of the pipe.

2008-2009 Saturn Vue
Vehicles affected: 2,625
On certain vehicles, the nut securing the power steering line to the power steering pump may loosen, which could create a fluid leak. This could result in a fire if fluid leaks onto hot exhaust components. Dealers will inspect and tighten the nut securing the line, and check the fluid level.

2007-2008 Kia Rondo LX/EX 2.4
Vehicles affected: 5,195
On certain vehicles, some fuel pumps may experience poor brush-to-commutator contact conditions. In addition, use of a 10 per cent ethanol-blend fuel can cause a film buildup that creates a high resistance between the brush and the commutator which may prevent sufficient contact. As a result, the fuel pump may produce less pumping pressure than required, resulting in poor starting or hesitation. Dealers will remove the affected fuel pump and replace it with an improved one.
