Canadian Truck King Challenge:
The tests
Each truck was judged on the following scale:
- 20-km unburdened test (40 points, 20 for Work Trucks)
- 15-km burdened test (60 points)
- Off-road capability test (20 points) (Note: only 4x4 trucks were taken off-road, and one-ton trucks completed only half the course)
- Static utility test (40 points, 50 for Work Trucks) (Note: the Canadian Driver team did not do this test)
- Emotional appeal (10 points)
- Safety and innovation (20 points)
- Market service (20 points)
- Price compensation (15 points, 25 for Work Trucks) (Factored by Truck King staff)
- Fuel compensation (10 points) (Factored by Truck King staff)
- Acceleration and braking tests (Factored by Truck King staff)
