2007 Canadian Truck King Challenge
HOME PHOTOS DISCUSSION

November 2006

Fuel consumption

Trucks arrived at the test site fully fueled and at the conclusion of all the testing they were refilled and the total distance traveled during the three days of testing was divided into the amount of fuel used. You'll note that our figures are way off those provided by the manufacturers (see specifications for each vehicle) - primarily because our fuel consumption reflects the often sever strain imposed on the trucks during testing.

Note: There are no figures available for the Dodge Ram 3500 series one-ton truck. Unfortunately it arrived at the test site without license plates - so it could not complete the on-road tests. An effort to get them to the organizer by courier failed.
