counteract electronic rust protection. Anyone Tried this?
« on: September 17, 2006, 04:07:10 pm »
I was at Canadian tire today, when I saw this counteract electronic rust protection system
http://www.counteractrust.com/
I understand the logic behind it, sending a pulse threw the frame of the car but... does it really work?

I never heard of electronics rusting.   BUT  If you're worried about electronics rusting, and IF you  will holding onto an  old car, that will always be parked outside, stick with MANUAL windows.   guys, any sense to what Im telling this guy?  am I right?

SIRCIVIC, EXCUSE ME FOR TRYING TO JOIN THE CONVERSATION.   If you want to add a civil, constructive comment to my comments, do so.   Your "icon response" was pointless and immature.

Unfortunately, YOU totally missed the point of the thread. It has nothing to do about "electronics rusting", but rather an electronic device which supposedly prevents or inhibits body rust on cars.

Here's a blog where a fellow is actually testing it:

Appears to be wasted money, as expected.

I understand the logic behind it, sending a pulse threw the frame of the car but... does it really work?

I under stand the logic as well, as well as using sacrificial metals, but how well that device works, I don't know and I'm not willing to take a chance, especially when I know Krown works. I use the T-40.

My mom's 1990 Tercel was Krowned and maybe only 5 times in the 16 years that she owned it. It was in fantastic shape. A new owner just snapped it up. I just sprayed her 2007 Toyota Yaris a month ago.

I've been spraying my 7 year old Honda CR-V for the last 5 years...used another product the first year at my friend's garage. The bottom of my CR-V is a mixture of dirt and soaked in Krown.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!
A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!
A true driver's car does not have cup holders.
